The band will normally play for a maximum of four hours (eg 8pm – 12am) with a break in the middle. We’re very happy to be flexible within this to accommodate buffets, cake-cutting, raffles etc.

We will need an hour to set up our equipment before the ceilidh starts, which we can often do while the room is being cleared for dancing if you’re having a meal beforehand.

We supply our own PA system, and during breaks we can play background music through the PA. We can supply this or you can make up a playlist on your mp3 player for us to play. We can connect your phone/mp3 player if it has a standard headphone socket (bring an adaptor if you have a newer iPhone without a standard socket).

We call all the usual ceilidh dances where necessary, and will normally teach you a few of the easier, lesser-known ones too.

For first dances at weddings, we can play for any standard ceilidh dance or play the track of your choice from your mp3 player.

We will charge extra for travelling over an hour to a ceilidh, and may ask for overnight accommodation if the ceilidh is several hours from home.

With our PA system, the band can make a big sound at your ceilidh, but if you’d like to discuss the possibility of a bigger band, let us know.
